Systematic Review Automation Tools - Journal Club

Background and aim

Many people in Australia are working on various aspects of automation for systematic reviews (and evidence syntheses more broadly), but we are a bit siloed. There are also multiple automation tools already in existence, many of which are listed in the SRToolbox, but no one person or team can realistically test out all of the tools to make decisions about their adoption into workflows. The aim of the Journal Club is therefore two-fold: 1) To bring together Australia-based individuals and groups working in this space, and 2) To share the workload of testing out, reviewing, and deciding whether existing automation tools should be adopted into workflows.

Participants

Anyone based in Australia who works and/or is interested in automation of systematic reviews and other evidence synthesis types. The meetings are currently limited to Australia to minimise the time-zone challenges.

Format

We meet over zoom approximately once a month, on a Friday, 12:30-1:00. At each meeting, one person provides a brief presentation of the tool (e.g., live demo or slides), and a short discussion follows. A one-page writeup is prepared after the meeting, using a standard template.
